The Heart of Client Support

Family 1st Medical in Antigonish is very fortunate to have Sherry Keith, a dedicated Operational Assistant, whose commitment and adaptability have quickly made her an important member of our team.

Sherry joined the Family 1st team in July 2023 and immediately fit right in. She brought a positive, can-do attitude and a real desire to help people. In her initial role, she assisted clients with their medical insurance. Beyond insurance, Sherry was also involved in ordering and receiving processes.

Recently, Sherry has transitioned into an exciting new role where she focuses on CPAP trials. She’s responsible for initial sleep testing equipment setup and calibration, as well as ongoing technical support and data retrieval related to device usage. This position allows her to witness firsthand the positive changes brought about by CPAP therapy. “I’m loving this new role,” Sherry says. The ultimate reward, she explains, is seeing a client’s quality of life improve after their trial.

“It’s wonderful to see our clients getting the medical support they need, delivered with kindness and care by our team,” she adds. Sherry credits the positive atmosphere and exceptional support from staff and management for her fulfilling experience. “You couldn’t ask for better coworkers. We’re a true team.”

One of the highlights of her job is when clients return months later, eager to share how much better they’re feeling, all thanks to the attentive care they received from Family 1st staff.
